Above the progress bar there is a menu with tabs for various categories, e.g. "Travel" or "Family".
If you click the respective tab, a preview opens below showing all the designs which match the selected theme. Click the style you want and then click "Continue".
The program registers this selection and then automatically applies it to your CEWE PHOTO BOOK as soon as you click "Create photo book".
Use the zoom slider at the bottom of the window to change the view size of the thumbnails.
At the bottom left of the window there is a button for downloading more background packages from the Internet.
During installation of most background packages, a new style is automatically installed for the new backgrounds if available.
The set styles cannot be edited except those in the category "Own styles".
Only designs in the "Own styles" category can be customised.
You can also create your own new style.
|
Tip:
First copy the style. (See below.) |
Five editing tools are provided at the bottom right to view, create or edit styles:
When you click this button, an additional window opens.
Examples are displayed to show you combinations of layouts and backgrounds of the style.
The preview window is closed by clicking the button "OK" or "Cancel".
When you click this button, a new window opens in which you can specify the details of the style you wish to create.
The following tabs are available:
You can enter a name for your new style in this window. It can then be saved and can be selected in the list of pre-installed styles. In addition you can enter a short description of your style.
There are four different methods you can use to have your photos automatically arranged on the pages of your CEWE PHOTO BOOK.
Take note of the preview images.
Covers at least 65% of your page with photos.
Covers up to 65% of your page with photos.
Enables overlapping and also angled orientation of the photos.
You can deactivate this option ("Never"), or use it "Sometimes" or "Always".
Enables layouts with extreme aspect ratios from 16:9 onwards.
|
Tip:
This refers to the size of the layout frame and not always on the aspect ratio of the photo.
Not every photo is suitable for a selection cropped in panorama format. |
You select the options by checking the selection boxes.
They can be freely combined.
If, for example, you select "Cover most area with photos" and "Generous spacing", then several pages are covered with more than 65% with photos, and several pages with less than 65%.
Here you can define conventions which the assistant should apply to automatically select the backgrounds for your CEWE PHOTO BOOK.
The basis for the background selection of the assistant is an automatic colour analysis of your photos. All backgrounds can be customised again later when you are working on your CEWE PHOTO BOOK.
The following options are available:
- white
- black
- all single-colour backgrounds
- own photos as background
- all photos from a selected category (with a selection list of the currently installed background categories)
You can select one or more options at the same time. If you do not select an option, all backgrounds are automatically displayed in white.
Your own photo as a background is always selected if an event is spread over at least a double page. In other cases another of the options you selected is applied.
In this window you can also stipulate colours and colour intensity for all multi-colour backgrounds.
A colour palette is displayed on the right with which you can select the colours and intensity on the pages in the same way as in a coordinate system.
The selected colour settings are used by the assistant for the backgrounds.
In this window you can select individual set backgrounds for your CEWE PHOTO BOOK.
On the top left you can open the categories in which the backgrounds are grouped according to their theme.
If you click a theme, all backgrounds of this category appear in the column below.
Select the backgrounds you would like to use with the mouse.
Then click on the right arrow and the backgrounds then appear in the previously empty right column.
Here you can collect the backgrounds which the assistant should use for your CEWE PHOTO BOOK.
If you want to remove a background from this selection, simply select it with the mouse and click the left arrow.
You can apply a simulated shadow to the photos on the pages of your CEWE PHOTO BOOK to make them more dynamic and three-dimensional.
Click on the "Activate shadow" selection box at the top left. This activates the setting options for shadows.
A sun then appears in the square, almost black image on the left which lights up the globe. You can move the sun around the globe with the mouse to set the angle of the shadow which you prefer.
The effect is shown in the large preview window on the right.
At the top of the preview there are two boxes for entering a value:
You can enter the distance of the shadow from the object in millimetres.
The intensity (the darkness) of the shadow is set as a percentage.
If you set 100%, the shadow is black. The lowest value is 1%. It makes the shadow look almost white. The lower the percentage, the lighter the shadow appears.
Your changes are displayed immediately in the preview.
On this page you can set the width and colour of the frame which you want to place around the photos.
If you set the frame width to 0 mm, no frame is drawn.
The colour of the frame is changed by clicking the colour box.
A new window opens with a palette of basic colours from which you can select the colour you require.
On the right the colour spectrum is shown with which you can mix any colour you want.
Simply click the respective point in the spectrum.
Alternatively you can set the numeric values below the spectrum.
Then click "OK" on the bottom right. This defines the frame colour.
You can place an image mask around your photos for an added effect.
This covers part of the image with a template.
In a selection menu on the left you can view the categories in which the image masks are grouped according to their theme.
If you click a theme, all image masks of this category appear in the column below.
Select all the image masks you want to use with the mouse.
Then click on the right arrow and the image masks appear in the previously empty right column.
Here you can collect the image masks which the assistant should use for your CEWE PHOTO BOOK.
If you wish to remove the image mask from the selection, simply mark it with the mouse and click on the left arrow.
Below the columns you can set how often the assistant should use the image masks and how often they should change.
Cliparts are vector graphics which can be infinitely scaled up or down.
If you want to add clipart to your CEWE PHOTO BOOK, you can select them in this window.
At the top left you can select the categories in a selection menu in which the cliparts are grouped according to their theme. If you click a theme, all cliparts of this category appear in the column.
Select the cliparts you want with the mouse. Then click on the right arrow and the cliparts appear in the previously empty right-hand column.
Here you can create a collection of cliparts which the assistant should use for your CEWE PHOTO BOOK.
If you want to remove a clipart from this selection, mark it with the mouse and click the left arrow.
Below the columns you can set how often the assistant should use cliparts and how often they should change.
A newly defined design is always displayed in the category "Own styles".
Select any design (from the "Own styles" category) with the mouse and then on the bottom right on the "Change style" button.
A new window opens showing all the details of the selected style.
The settings can be changed as required as described in the section "Create new style", customised and saved under a different name.
You can duplicate a selected style by clicking the "Copy style" button. This style is then saved in the "Own styles" category.
It can be useful to copy a style if you wish to customise an existing style and if the original cannot be edited. This is the case with the set styles.
When you have selected a style and then click the "Delete style" button, this styleis deleted from the style collection of your "real Fotolumea mea" program.
